From restaurant menus to home kitchens
I’m Kim, a chef who has cooked at Rockpool Bar and Grill, Cornersmith, Two Chaps and Pizza Madre. Every week I go to the markets and choose produce the same way I did for restaurant menus: what growers are proud of and what I’d want to cook with myself.
Then I pack it all up and deliver it to your doorstep.
What's in the box?
Everything you need for a fortnight of cooking, hand selected by a chef who loves produce. Below is a guide to what you’ll typically find inside. The produce changes with the seasons, but the format stays the same.

Why choose The Vege Box
Chef‑selected produce
I pick what’s genuinely eating well right now. Some weeks that means the obvious favourites, other weeks it’s the things growers are most excited about. You get the kind of produce I would reach for in a restaurant kitchen.
Seasonal and local
I work with farmers who grow for flavour. They let me know what’s at its best, and I build the box around it.
Packed for maximum freshness
Each box is packed by hand with care. I select produce at the markets and deliver it in a refrigerated van so the quality is protected from start to finish.
Simple, flexible delivery
Deliveries are organised fortnightly by area. After you order, I check your address and assign your delivery day so you know exactly when your box will arrive.
Questions we get asked
The Vege Box has a broad mix of customers including couples, families, housemates and neighbours who share with each other.
It’s designed for a fortnight of cooking and eating, but how long it lasts depends on how often you’re in the kitchen. You can get a sense of quantities in the What’s in the box section.
You don’t choose individual items, because the box is curated to support the farmers who grow the heirloom and heritage varieties that supermarkets won’t take.
When growers don’t have customers for these crops, they stop planting them, and we risk losing the weird and wonderful varieties that make eating so special.
Curating the box this way also encourages everyone to cook with a wider range of produce. If there’s anything you truly dislike, just let me know and I’ll leave it out. This approach keeps waste low and helps us stay sustainable for the farmers, the environment and the business.
Deliveries run fortnightly by area. When you join, I’ll check your address and let you know which day your box arrives. That day then becomes your regular delivery day.
Once everything is packed, you’ll get an email to let you know I’m on the way, and your box will be delivered in my refrigerated van.
If you’re not home, that’s completely fine.
Apartments: I’ll leave your box safely in the foyer. Add any access instructions to the delivery notes box at checkout.
Houses: choose a shady spot and add the details to the delivery notes box so I know exactly where to leave it. A shed, laundry or front porch all work well.
